Heroic Spear Thrower is an experimental rock band from Nashville, TN. HST’s sound can be described as alternative and post-punk with a modern twist. Jangly electric guitar forms the base for most songs, with layered effects and synths supporting airy vocals. Chris Rueger started HST as a recording project for some older songs he played back in college – breathing new life into them as he gradually built a home recording studio. HST finished and released it’s first album, No More Lonely Robots in 2016.
